dailyloe.com – Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff criticized Donald Trump’s Iran policy and his family’s corruption at a campaign rally in Augusta, Georgia, on Saturday.
Ossoff is running for re-election in November but focused his remarks on the president and vice-president.
This comes amid speculation he could seek the Democratic presidential nomination in 2028.
He began by mocking the low turnout for a recent Georgia event headlined by JD Vance.
Ossoff argued the cost of Trump’s war on Iran would be paid for by young Americans deployed overseas.
He said it would also be paid for by cuts to services for their families at home.
The senator quoted Trump saying it was not possible to take care of daycare, Medicaid, or Medicare.
Trump said the country could only afford to fund war, according to Ossoff.
Ossoff stated that draft-dodging Donald loves sending other people’s children to war.
He noted the White House requested $200 billion to pay for the war on Iran.
That sum would fund a decade of nationwide, universal pre-kindergarten, Ossoff said.
Instead, Americans face a war no one voted for and no one can explain.
Ossoff criticized the daily, hourly lying to the public about the war’s status.
He mentioned lying about why the US is at war and whether it has won.
Ossoff also cited insane genocidal threats related to the conflict.
The senator recited a list of Trump’s false claims about the war being over.
On day 10, Trump said the war was very complete, Ossoff told the crowd.
On day 11, Trump said it was going to be finished pretty quickly.
On day 12, Trump said we won, according to the senator’s remarks.
On day 21, Trump said the US was getting very close to the end.
On day 32, Trump said the US was leaving very soon.
On day 40, Trump declared total and complete victory.
On day 49, Trump said Iran had opened the strait, Ossoff stated.
Ossoff noted that this morning the strait was closed again.
It looks like Iran hit a cargo ship, the senator added.
Ossoff noted Trump’s war on Iran has already caused 13 US soldier deaths.
Thousands of civilians have also died due to the conflict.
The war has triggered skyrocketing inflation, according to the senator.
It has done massive damage, Ossoff concluded in his rally speech.
