The light heavyweight bout was elevated after an injury delayed Joshua Van’s title defense. Paulo Costa is moving up from middleweight after a difficult run. He faces a tough test in the undefeated Murzakanov. Murzakanov holds a perfect 16-0 professional record.
Murzakanov has won six consecutive fights in the UFC. This run has moved him to number six in the divisional rankings. He knocked out Aleksandar Rakic in the first round last October. That victory specifically caught Joe Rogan’s attention.
