dailyloe.com – GameStop shares traded around US$24.55 as of April 20, 2026, according to a Simply Wall St analysis published on Yahoo Finance. The stock returned 4.9% over the past week and 8.8% over 30 days. Year to date, the stock gained 19.1%. However, the one-year return shows a 7.2% loss and the five-year return shows a 41.2% loss.

GameStop operates in the Specialty Retail space and remains highly followed by both long-term investors and short-term traders. This ongoing focus helps explain why modest price changes still attract interest. No fresh earnings catalyst was mentioned in headlines.

On Simply Wall St’s valuation checks, GameStop scores 2 out of 6 for being undervalued. The analysis considered different valuation methods to assess fair value.

Approach 1 used a Discounted Cash Flow model. This model estimates business value by projecting future cash flows and discounting them to today using a required rate of return.

The model started with last twelve month Free Cash Flow of about $595.2 million. Simply Wall St used a 2 Stage Free Cash Flow to Equity model. This includes analyst inputs for early years and extends the trend for later years.

By 2035, the model projects Free Cash Flow of about $7.0 billion. Each year between now and then is discounted back to present value. Adding those discounted cash flows and dividing by shares gives an estimated intrinsic value of about $164.51 per share.

Compared with the recent share price around $24.55, the DCF output implies the stock is about 85.1% below this modelled value. This points to a wide valuation gap based on these assumptions. The result is labeled as undervalued.
