Anthropic reported that the Claude API and Claude Cowork tool remained operational during the disruption. The company applied a fix approximately ninety minutes after the outage began. Success rates for the service subsequently returned to normal levels.
‘We have applied a fix and success rates have returned to normal,’ Anthropic stated on its status dashboard. The company added it was continuing to monitor closely for any further issues. This incident is not an isolated one for the popular AI assistant.
Thousands of users also reported problems accessing Claude just one day prior, on Monday. Anthropic’s public status log shows various service issues occurring over recent weeks. This pattern coincides with a significant surge in user interest for the platform.
Downloads of the Claude mobile app briefly surpassed those of OpenAI’s ChatGPT on the Apple App Store in early March.
