Unity Park in Logan Square holds an event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. The park is at 2636 N. Kimball Ave. Activities include planting a flower and taking a flower. Visitors can also clean up litter and do arts-and-crafts. This is a free event.
The Loyola Park cleanup runs from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Volunteers meet at the Loyola Park Fieldhouse at 1230 W. Greenleaf Ave. in Rogers Park. The event involves spreading mulch and picking up litter. Gloves and supplies will be provided for free.
Kosciuszko Park hosts its 10th annual Earth Day celebration Saturday. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2732 N. Avers Ave. in Logan Square. Activities include cleaning, mulching young trees, and tending native plants. This is also a free event.
Earth Fest takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It is located at the Garfield Park Conservatory. The address is 300 N. Central Park Ave. in Garfield Park. This is one of the day’s major festival events.[]
