dailyloe.com – Duke forward Cameron Boozer has made his case for being selected first overall in the 2026 NBA draft. He spoke to Mark Medina of EssentiallySports about his competitive drive. Boozer is widely projected to be a top-four selection in the upcoming draft. He listed several current NBA stars as players he enjoys watching.
“There are a lot of great candidates, for sure,” Boozer told EssentiallySports. He believes his competitiveness and winning mentality separate him. “It’s my willingness to do whatever it takes to win,” Boozer said. Still, he expressed that his draft position is not a primary concern.
“It doesn’t matter to me at all. That’s just the beginning,” Boozer stated. He emphasized his long-term career vision over draft night. “Whether you’re one, two or 30 or 35, that’s just the beginning,” he added. Boozer said he is more focused on where he will be in 10 to 15 years.
He mentioned drawing inspiration from current NBA players. Boozer listed Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paolo Banchero and LaMelo Ball. He said these are a few of the players he enjoys watching. This comes as several other prospects make draft declarations.
Iowa State junior Milan Momcilovic officially confirmed he is declaring for the draft. He made the announcement via Twitter on Sunday, as previously reported. The 6’8″ forward’s goal is to stay in the draft and be selected in June. However, he is maintaining the option to withdraw and is also entering the transfer portal.
Momcilovic led the NCAA in three-point percentage this season. He shot 48.7% on 7.5 attempts per game from beyond the arc. He was ranked No. 43 on ESPN’s latest big board. Jeff Goodman of Field of 68 reports most executives have him in the 20-to-40 range.
Charlotte big man Anton Bonke is testing the draft waters. Agent Scott Nichols informed Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress. Bonke is a 7’2″ center from Vanuatu. He averaged 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 34 games as a junior.
Bonke played 25.6 minutes per game for the Charlotte 49ers. He is also entering the NCAA transfer portal. Temple sophomore Aiden Tobiason is entering the portal and testing the draft waters. Agent Ken Jackson provided this information to Jacob Myers.
Utah junior Terrence Brown is another early draft entrant. He announced on social media that he is entering the transfer portal. Brown tested the draft waters last summer before withdrawing. Dominican-Iranian wing Mohammad Amini is also testing the draft waters.
Agent Aydin Dianat confirmed Amini’s decision via LinkedIn. Amini has spent the past two seasons with Nancy Basket in France. He played in France’s top domestic basketball league. Amini also tested the draft waters last summer prior to withdrawing.[]
