dailyloe.com – On Friday, reporters spotted a swarm of bees at the White House’s North Lawn. This event occurred weeks after First Lady Melania Trump added new bee colonies to the grounds.
Numerous black dots, identified as bees, were observed near the press corps’ Pebble Beach media area. Approximately 20 minutes later, the bees moved into a hive located on a tree on the North Lawn.
The cause of the swarm remains unclear, although it coincides with the recent introduction of two new bee colonies by the First Lady. Additionally, a new replica White House beehive was unveiled on the South Lawn.
The White House did not respond immediately to Fox News Digital’s request for further comments. The hive was highlighted during the state visit of Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla, who toured it with the Trumps.

The expansion of bee colonies is projected to increase annual honey production by approximately 30 pounds, enhancing its availability for White House dishes and charitable donations.
During peak summer months, the bee colony can grow to around 70,000 bees, which can produce up to 225 pounds of honey each year. This initiative is funded through the Trust for the National Mall and aims to assist in pollinating the nearby White House Kitchen Garden and other vegetation.
