dailyloe.com – Tonight, Bayern Munich faces Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final. The match is scheduled for 21:00 and will be broadcast on Prime Video. Bayern’s coach Vincent Kompany will not be present on the sidelines due to a yellow card suspension.

Kompany received his suspension after being cautioned in the quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid. He was penalized by referee Slavko Vinčić during the first half after complaining about a foul against Bayern’s Josip Stanišić. This caution marked his third yellow card in the competition, resulting in a ban for the next match.

Kompany expressed disbelief regarding the decision, stating, “I believe it’s normal at this stage to say something.” He added, “My words were not wrong. I try to remain respectful, and I was.” Despite his absence, he remains confident in his team’s ability to perform, saying, “I have full trust – and I will be back for the return leg.”

According to Article 69 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, a suspended coach must sit in the stands and cannot be near the field or team benches. Direct communication with players or coaching staff is prohibited during the match. Kompany is also barred from entering the locker room or player tunnel before or during the game.

He can travel with the team on the bus and deliver a final speech, but must leave the team afterward. Bayern Munich aims to overcome the challenge posed by PSG, described as one of the strongest teams in Europe.
