dailyloe.com – Canadian pole vaulter Alysha Newman has announced a Victoria’s Secret audition despite facing a 20-month suspension from competition.

The Olympic bronze medalist is banned due to missed drug tests. She failed to be available for unannounced tests three times in a 12-month span.

While there is speculation about her future in track and field, the 31-year-old has not announced her retirement.

Newman gained attention for her twerking celebration during the Paris 2024 Olympics. She shared her audition news via video on Tuesday afternoon.

In the video, she revealed an invitation to an in-person casting for a chance to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026.

This opportunity aligns with her prior modeling experiences while competing at high levels. She has worked with various brands and created content for Instagram and OnlyFans.

Newman previously gained media attention for a photoshoot with Maxim after her viral Olympic moment. She also shared new black-and-white headshots from Los Angeles in March.

Her caption read, “We didn’t come to LA to play… New headshots,” indicating her serious pursuit of modeling opportunities.

Alysha Newman has until August 2027 to decide on her track and field career. This is the expiration date of her current suspension.

She received a 20-month suspension instead of a longer ban, highlighting her potential return to the sport.
