dailyloe.com – Aliyah Boston has agreed to a four-year, $6.3 million contract extension with the Indiana Fever. Her agent Zack Miller told ESPN this gives her the richest total salary in league history to date. The three-time WNBA All-Star was eligible for the pay bump through a new CBA provision.
Boston could sign the extension due to a previously earned All-WNBA selection. This effectively replaces what she was set to earn in 2026. It provides an accelerated path to earning the maximum salary allowed.
She will earn $1 million in the 2026 season. This is lower than the standard $1.19 million max deal she was eligible for. Boston chose to take less money to help the Fever pay others on their roster.
She will then earn 20% of the salary cap in each subsequent season. This contract structure will run through the 2029 WNBA season. The deal was reported on April 17, 2026.
Boston has averaged 14.5 points per game since being drafted. She has also averaged 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Her shooting percentage stands at 54.7% over her career.
The Indiana Fever selected her with the No. 1 overall pick in 2023. The team has sought to build around Boston and fellow No. 1 pick Caitlin Clark. Star guard Kelsey Plum is also part of their core roster construction plans.[]
