Samsung Launches Galaxy A37 and A57 in India with 45W Charging

Samsung India has officially launched the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 smartphones in the domestic market this week. This follows the models’ global debut, bringing mid-range 5G devices to a key growth region. The launch underscores India’s strategic importance in the global smartphone arena.

Both new models feature refreshed designs and triple-camera systems. They are powered by Samsung’s own Exynos chipsets, though exact model numbers were not detailed. A significant upgrade is the inclusion of large 5,000 mAh capacity batteries. These support 45W wired fast charging for quicker power top-ups.

The Galaxy A57 is offered in three color options: Awesome Navy, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac. Pricing for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant starts at 56,999 Indian Rupees. This is approximately $606 USD at current exchange rates. A higher 12GB/256GB model is listed at 62,999 INR.

This launch is part of Samsung’s annual refresh of its popular A-series lineup. The series is crucial for competing in the fiercely contested mid-tier segment. Rivals include brands like Xiaomi, Realme, and OnePlus in the Indian market.

Industry analysts note the emphasis on battery life and charging speed addresses key consumer demands. The pricing positions these phones in the upper mid-range bracket. Samsung aims to consolidate its market share with these feature-packed offerings.
